ACCESS ROUTES: Route 2 gives access to Cleveland (1-1/2 hrs.) and Toledo (I hr.). The Ohio Turnpike can be reached using Rt. 250 or Rt. 53 from Rt. 2. 

AIRPORTS: The Erie Ottawa Regional Airport serves both Erie and Ottawa Counties. Its 5000 and 4000 foot crossing runways make it popular with private aircraft, air freight carriers and all sizes of business jets.

MEDICAL FACILITIES: The area is served by a number of hospital facilities including Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. Four hospitals, representing more than 750 beds are located within 15 miles of Ottawa County. 

EDUCATION: Catawba Island students attend Port Clinton Public Schools and Immaculate, Conception School. Bowling Green State University Firelands College is located in Huron, Ohio. From Cincinnati, Ohio:
Exit S.R. 6 at S.R. 53 North to Port Clinton. Approx. 11 miles North, take S.R. 2 east one (1) exit to S.R. 163 East. Turn right (or East) after exiting and proceed approx. 300 yards to Sand Road, (half-left). The Villas at Le Marin are located approx 4 miles down on your left hand side on the lake.

From Toledo, Ohio:
Take S.R. 2 to S.R. 163 East. At stop sign make right hand turn, 300 yards more make left onto Sand Road. The Villas at Le Marin are located approx 4 miles down on your left hand side on the lake.
